Tiger Cubs

Karate Classes for Kids

The Karate Tiger Cubs classes are a mixture of traditional Shotokan Karate and children's games taught using modern training methods. Your child will learn the basics of Karate with their peers in a fun, friendly and safe environment. The classes are based on a proven method established by the Japan Karate Association and are designed to promote a healthy body and mind, by developing physical and mental fitness at a level appropriate to your child's abilities. Classes will run throughout the year coinciding with the school term, with each class lasting forty-five minutes.

All coaching is carried out by qualified instructors who have attended "Sports Coach UK" seminars on child coaching practices, first aid, and are enhanced Disclosure Scotland vetted.

Although Karate at a high level can be a contact sport, in the  Tiger Cubs group, safety is of paramount importance, therefore, during training there will be no fighting contact made between the children.

NOTE: Our main motivation is that your child should be safe and enjoy their Karate training. We request that during the training session all Tiger Cub students must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
